“We’ve lost pillars of wisdom and leadership,”: Ona Ara LG Chair, Dr. Temitope GLORIOUS Commiserates with Adeojo, Olunloyo Families
The Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS, has expressed profound grief and heartfelt condolences to Governor Seyi Makinde, the Adeojo family, and the Olunloyo family over the passing of two distinguished statesmen: Pa Yekini Adeojo, former Deputy National Chairman (South) of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), and Dr. Omololu Olunloyo, former Governor of Oyo State and revered mathematician.

In a statement issued by his media office, Dr. Glorious described the week as one of “deep sorrow and national reflection,” mourning the departure of two elder statesmen whose legacies continue to shape Oyo State and the nation at large.

“We have lost two towering pillars of wisdom, leadership, and integrity. Pa Yekini Adeojo was a father figure in our great party, the PDP, whose loyalty and sacrifices built a foundation of unity and progressive politics in the South. Dr. Omololu Olunloyo was a rare genius and a pride of Ibadanland and Nigeria, whose brilliance in governance and academia remains unmatched,” the Chairman stated.

Dr. Glorious extended his condolences to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, acknowledging the emotional toll such loss may have on the administration and the state.

“I stand in solidarity with our dear Governor Seyi Makinde during this difficult time. Oyo State mourns with you. These were great men whose memories and works will never be forgotten,” he added.

He prayed for the repose of their souls and encouraged the families to find solace in the legacies of service, impact, and honor left behind by the departed.
