Armed Hoodlums Launch Attack on Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s Family Home in Kogi
Unidentified hoodlums armed with cutlasses and firearms reportedly attacked the family residence of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in the early hours of Wednesday, April 16. The incident occurred in the Obeiba-Ihima community, located in Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State.

According to intelligence sources who spoke with Zagazola Makama, the senator’s Chief Security Officer, Yakubu Ovanja, reported the attack to the relevant security authorities.

Ovanja revealed that the assault took place around 1:00 a.m. and involved no fewer than three armed men who vandalized parts of the property, including breaking several windows.

In response to a distress call, security personnel from the Okehi Division promptly arrived at the scene.

While no casualties were reported and no arrests have been made, security agents documented the destruction and have commenced a preliminary investigation.

Police sources stated that the motive behind the attack remains unknown as investigations continue.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central in the National Assembly, has not yet issued an official statement at the time of this report.
