The Ona Ara Local Government Authority officially confirms the passing of Apostle Joel Olasunkanmi Iyiola, founder of Bible Based Church International, and a towering figure in Christendom.
In a press statement signed by the Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Mr. Rahmon Alawode, the Council expressed deep sorrow over the transition of Apostle J.O. Iyiola, describing him as “one of the foremost spiritual fathers in Ibadan, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large — a revered servant of God whose impact transcended generations.”
Apostle Iyiola’s ministry was marked by decades of unwavering commitment to the gospel, spiritual leadership, and community transformation. His teachings, mentorship, and devotion to the faith served as a guiding light for countless believers, not only within Ona Ara but across national and international boundaries.
The Executive Chairman, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS, on behalf of the entire Local Government, extends heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the congregation of Bible Based Church Int’l, and the broader Christian community.
