Hon. Gbenga Ayinde Adewusi, popularly known as 'Arole', has extended warm congratulations to Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi on his recent elevation from Jagun Olubadan to Ajia Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The promotion, conferred by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin I, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, marks a significant step in Chief Sanusi’s traditional leadership journey within the prestigious Olubadan chieftaincy line.
Hon. Adewusi praised the newly elevated Chief for his dedication to community service, philanthropy, and leadership. “Chief Sanusi's promotion is a testament to his unwavering contributions to the growth and development of Ibadanland,” Arole stated. “His selfless service and impactful initiatives have not gone unnoticed, and this honour is richly deserved.”
He added that the elevation of capable and visionary leaders like Chief Sanusi within the Olubadan royal line is a positive sign for the future of Ibadan’s traditional institution and cultural heritage.
The Olubadan chieftaincy system remains one of the most respected traditional hierarchies in Yorubaland, known for its orderly and merit-based progression through the ranks.
