Oyo State Hospitals Launch New Scrubs for Healthcare Workers

Ibadan, Nigeria – May 14, 2025
In a significant step toward enhancing professionalism and visual identity across the healthcare system, the Oyo State Hospitals Management Board has officially launched a new set of uniform scrubs for nurses and healthcare professionals serving in its 58 hospitals and clinics.

The Chairman of the Board, Dr. Stephen Akin Fagbemi, unveiled the new attire during a formal briefing, describing it as a symbol of unity, efficiency, and elevated standards in patient care.

> “This initiative promotes easy identification and a unified, professional appearance,” Dr. Fagbemi said. “I encourage our nurses to maintain exceptional standards of diligence and courtesy in patient care, ensuring sustainable healthcare delivery across all our facilities.”

The introduction of the standardized scrubs is part of a broader effort by the Board to improve healthcare delivery and reinforce a sense of pride and discipline among frontline workers. It is expected that the new attire will also enhance patient confidence in the healthcare system.

Healthcare workers across the state have begun receiving the new scrubs, and early feedback highlights improved comfort and functionality in clinical settings.

This development comes as Oyo State continues to invest in reforms aimed at strengthening its public health infrastructure and ensuring quality service for all residents.
