As the world marks International Workers’ Day, Hon. Gbenga Ayinde Adewusi, popularly known as Arole Obasanjo, has extended warm felicitations to workers across Oyo State, commending their resilience, dedication, and vital contributions to the growth of the state.
In a goodwill message released on Thursday, Adewusi lauded Oyo State workers for their unwavering commitment despite economic challenges, noting that their efforts form the backbone of the state’s continued progress.
“A state can only move forward when its workforce is empowered, motivated, and respected,” he said. “Oyo workers have consistently shown a high level of professionalism and dedication worthy of celebration.”
He also reserved special praise for the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, describing him as a "true workers’ governor" whose administration has made the welfare of civil servants a top priority.
“Governor Makinde has proven beyond doubt that the interest of workers is central to his government,” Arole Obasanjo remarked. “From prompt salary payments to regular promotions and improved working conditions, his legacy of fairness and compassion is well appreciated.”
Adewusi, a respected community leader and political figure, urged workers to continue to support the Makinde-led administration as it drives the state toward sustainable development and inclusive governance.
He concluded by calling for unity among stakeholders in the state to ensure continuous peace, growth, and prosperity in Oyo State.
