Hon. Gbenga Ayinde Adewusi 'Arole' Boosts Handball Development with Donation of handball ball to National Sports Commission
Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria - February 17, 2025
In a bid to promote handball development in the South West Zone, Hon. Gbenga Ayinde Adewusi 'Arole', Former Executive Chairman, Ibadan North East Local Government (2003-2010) and Former Chairman, Oyo State Sports Council (2020-2023), has donated four handball balls to the National Sports Commission (South West Zone).
The donation, which was received by Mrs. Evelyn Fabunmi, Southwest Zonal Coordinator, NSC, is aimed at supporting the upcoming National Sports Festival South West ball games zonal Elimination schedule, slated to hold on February 24th at Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort.
Mrs. Fabunmi expressed her appreciation for Hon. Gbenga Ayinde Adewusi 'Arole's kind gesture, acknowledging his passion for handball and sports development in general. She also commended his consistent support for the National Sports Commission South West Zonal office.
The event, which took place at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan, was attended by notable personalities, including Mr. Adegboyega Charles Makinde, Alhaji Fatai Adebayo Raji, Alhaja Idiat Bamidele, Deacon Ifeoluwa Ayodele Ogunlola, Mr. Fakorede Ayobami Adebowale, and Mr. Adebayo Lateef.
The event was witnessed by some staff of National Sports Commission South West Zonal office includes Mr. Gbenga Omoyemi, Mr. Rotimi Olorunlola and Mr. Sakiru Muhammed Arowolo
