The Newly elected chairman of Afijio local government, Hon. Aikomo Emmanuel Olufemi, FCA has expresses heartfelt appreciation to the people's Governor of Oyo State, Engr Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde and the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) for conducting a free and fair election last Saturday. 

I also want to use this platform to comment on our leaders in Afijio Local Government, Chief Sunday Ogunlade, the Basorun of Atan, Hon Sunday Akindele Ojo, the Executive Chairman of Afijio local government, all our traditional rulers in Afijio local government, Hon. Adedeji Sola Aderinola, the PDP Party Chairman of Afijio local government, and all other leaders and party members who contributed to or participated in the local government election last Saturday that resulted in my election as the incoming chairman of Afijio local government.

Furthermore, I extend my sincere appreciation to the good people of Afijio local government for electing me, my vice, and all my councilors across the wards in Afijio local government. I assure you that we will perform even better than your expectations, and I pray for our local government to progress and prosper under our leadership.

Thank you for your support and trust in electing me, my vice, and all the councilors throughout Afijio local government. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve, and I promise to exceed your expectations. Together, we will strive for progress and prosperity in our local government. Let us all work hand in hand to build a brighter future for Afijio. Thank you once again for your faith in me, and let's move forward together towards a better tomorrow.

I extend my sincere gratitude to the people of Afijio local government for entrusting me with this important responsibility. Your vote of confidence means a lot to me, and I am committed to fulfilling the mandate you have given me. With the support of my vice, councilors, and all stakeholders, I am confident that we can achieve remarkable progress and development in our community.

I also want to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of all those involved in ensuring that the recent local government election was conducted in a free and fair manner. Governor Seyi Makinde and Oyo OYSIEC deserve special commendation for their efforts in upholding democracy and facilitating a transparent electoral process.

As we embark on this journey together, I urge every resident of Afijio to join hands with us in building a better future for our local government. Your ideas, feedback, and participation are invaluable as we work towards addressing the needs and aspirations of our community.
