 Ilaji Resort Chairman, Jubril Dotun Sanusi, Honored as Oyo State Tourism Man of the Year

Engineer Jubril Dotun Sanusi, the Chairman of Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort, has been bestowed with the prestigious Oyo State Tourism Man of the Year award by Governor Seyi Makinde.

The Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Engineer Jubril Dotun Sanusi is a distinguished international businessman with interests spanning various sectors including Oil and Gas, hospitality, media, sports, travel and tours agency, and education, among others.

The honor was conferred upon him during a dinner and award ceremony organized by the Oyo State Government for stakeholders in the tourism sector, held as part of the ongoing International Tourism Summit at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan.

Engineer Jubril Dotun Sanusi founded Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort with the vision of revolutionizing the hospitality industry in Oyo State while simultaneously enhancing the state's economic landscape.

Since its inception, Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort has been a venue of choice for hosting both local and international tournaments across various sports categories, as well as conferences and seminars, thereby significantly raising the profile of Oyo State on the global stage.

Among the distinguished awardees at the event were Erelu Funmi Rotiba, Chief Executive Officer of Special Tours Ltd; Evangelist Ajibola Ogunkeyede, CEO of Ufit Fly; Dr. Abebayo Faleke, a prominent radio presenter and researcher; as well as Taiwo and Kehinde Oguntoye, among others.

Governor Makinde, in congratulating Engineer Jubril Dotun Sanusi and the other recipients, urged them to view the honor as a call to redouble their efforts in positioning Oyo State as a preferred tourism destination.
