Hon Aikomo Oluwafemi Emmanuel, FCA Hails from Fiditi in Afijio local government area, Oyo State. Hon. Olufemi Aikomo is a humble man, cultured and also a grassroot politician.

Hon. Olufemi Aikomo is a chartered accountant, He is the chairmanship candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for the Afijio Local Government in the 2024 local government elections.

Hon.Aikomo was born on January 24, 1966 in Fiditi, Afijio Local Government Area of Oyo State. He attended Alafia Oluwa Baptist Primary School, Fiditi and Community High School, Fiditi for his primary and secondary education respectively. He proceeded to the University of Lagos, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1993. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Financial Management from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso.

Hon Aikomo is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and an Associate Chartered Tax Practitioner (ACTN). He has over 25 years of experience in accounting, auditing, taxation, and financial management. He has worked with several reputable organizations, such as Seven Up Bottling Company, Olusola Adekanola & Co., Direct on PC, Nigeria Mobile Telecommunications Company,(M-TEL) and Kasmal International before setting up his own Accounting firm as the Managing Partner in 2010.

*Hon Aikomo* joined politics in 2011 when he wanted to aspire to contest for seat for the Afijio State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly 2019 , but lost the nomination. He is an active, loyal and committed member of the People’s Democratic Party in Oyo State. 

*Hon Aikomo* is a loyal supporter of Governor Seyi Makinde and his vision for the development of Oyo State. He has been described as a leader who demonstrates the rare combination of thinking and doing. He has also been praised for his trajectory of service to humanity and his commitment to the welfare of his people. 

*Hon Aikomo* is married and they are blessed with four children. He is a devout Christian and a Member of the Baptist Family. He enjoys reading, traveling, farming, playing chess, and watching football in his spare time.

Pacesetter Transport Services is gearing up to resume operations of the OMITUNTUN BUSES following a scheduled maintenance break. Recognizing the crucial link between sustainability and maintenance, the company has prioritized ensuring efficient service delivery through sustainable maintenance procedures.

These buses have played a vital role in the State, serving its SAfER purpose and contributing to the economic stability of the nation. They embody the proactive response of Governor Seyi Makinde 's administration. However, the continuous operation of the buses, including weekends, has made collective and intensive maintenance challenging. 

Additionally, ensuring the well-being of the drivers is a pragmatic maintenance practice.The recent pause in operations, due to various factors like fuel scarcity, provided an opportunity for proactive maintenance under the leadership of Hon. Dr. Ibraheem Oladeji Salami Dikko. Now, after this strategic break, operations are set to resume tomorrow, February 29, 2024.

The Chairman of Pacesetter Transport Services emphasized the company's commitment to fulfilling the expectations of the people of Oyo State. He acknowledged the challenges faced by businesses but stressed the importance of seizing the opportunity to conduct necessary servicing and maintenance.

Moreover, he hinted at expanding operations beyond the State borders, necessitating upgrades to some vehicles. Despite the inconvenience caused by the break, commuters can expect the OMITUNTUN BUSES to be back on the roads tomorrow. 

The company assures that all necessary procedures have been implemented to ensure efficient and effective transportation services in the State he assured.

You have shown to the world that a level plain ground is for both a minority and majority at the center of equality and equity. Giving a Hope to sons and daughters of Nobody to have sense of royalty and belongings so as to become Somebody in the Global space.

Since your victory at the 2023 Re-election bid till date, I have hardly seen a day or week that you will not marvel the good people of Oyo with one goodnews and the other. Is it flag off olorunda road?, commissioning of new roads, rehabilitation, reconstruction ongoing, police sport bang 2024, reawakening of Expoyo after 15years of it's death now resurrected, Oyo tourism, culture is at the front desk encouraging investors having a trust to settle here in Oyo State and many others.

To the one that blew my mind off, in all the 36 states of the Federation including FCT, no Governor had paid the workers/civil servants, pensioners wage award like His Excellency Engr Sir Dsc GSSRS KJW Abiodun Saheed Sa'ad Seyi Makinde has done. The payment started last year October, November December 2023, till January, February 2024 yet, no Month had gone without pay. Guess what? Just few weeks ago, Gov. Makinde, the Man Called MAKINSSON approves the wage award extension by Six months which no Governor had done even federal govt under President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR had fulfil all righteous like Seyi.

Today, Mr Governor walked in to join the protesters, sympathize and empathize with them on the state of economic impact in our land causing Hunger, Anger as well generating into hardship for all. Assured that, all restitution, list of request on how our state can be economical independent, stimulating the resources to expand the economy and to bring back the normalcy to our land, Oyo State Nigeria should be brought to his table for way forward deliberation.

Commends Chief Ogunlade for his fatherly roles

Ahead of the April 2024 Local government election in Oyo state, Hon. Adewusi Adegbola has donated campaign materials to Afijio PDP Chairmanship candidate Hon. Aikomo Emmanuel Olufemi, FCA and his Vice Hon. Adegoke Tajudeen Aderemi. 

Two thousand pieces of posters were presented by Hon. Adewusi to the PDP candidates on Saturday 10th February, 2024. 

While presenting the posters, Hon. Adewusi seized the opportunity to appeal to all residents in Afijio local government area to vote for all PDP candidates.

He equally appreciated the party leaders in the local government area particularly Chief Sunday Ogunlade for his exceptional leadership and fatherly roles in providing adequate supports for the party candidates ahead of the election. 

The gesture was lauded by the Oyo State PDP State Deputy Chairman Hon. James Olukunle, and he described Adewusi Adegbola as a committed party man who is so much concerned about the success of the PDP candidates. 

He further called on other party members to emulate the gesture of Hon. Adegbola Adewusi in order to ensure total victory for the party candidates during the election.

In their appreciation, The chairmanship candidate and his Vice expressed their sincere gratitude to Hon. Adewusi for his thoughtfulness and support for the coming election.

The candidates recognized the significance of conducting a fair and democratic election that truly represents the will of the people, stressing that the strength of unity and collaboration within the political landscape is an attestation of PDP victory in the forthcoming election. 

They also implored the people of Afijio LGA to look forward to a competitive yet respectful campaign driven by the ideals of democracy and the common goals of serving our communities.

     In preparation for the coming local government election in Ibadan North East LG, especially in ward 06, the councilorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Hon. Igbalajobi Adekola Campaign team visited Oje, Alafara and Temidire  Communities for endorsement from the Associations.

   Hon. Igbalajobi while speaking with the elders and Association said he has been doing it before with his own money and he will continue to do it again. He stated that there's not a day that his boss Hon. Olugbenga Ayinde Adewusi Arole will not call him and remind him to be good to the people of his Communities.

    He continues that he is  not aspirin for the post of a Councilor because of the money but to bring the dividends of democracy to every nooks and corners of ward 06.

    He mentioned some of the projects he has facilitated to ward 06 as a Supervisory Councilor such as

(2) 5 Deep well NGO

(3)A Public Toilet NGO

(4) Different Empowerment programs

(5) Free Medical Check up and Tests.
