Early life and ancestry

Alaafin Adeyemi III was born Lamidi Olayiwola Atanda Adeyemi on October 15, 1938[1] into the Alowolodu Royal House, and as a member of the House of Oranmiyan to Raji Adeniran Adeyemi (born 1871), who later became Alaafin in 1945, and Ibironke of Epo-Gingin, who died when he was young.

His father is said to have had over 200 wives. His paternal grandfather[2] was Alaafin Adeyemi I Alowolodu, who ruled during the Kiriji War, and was the last independent ruler of the Oyo Empire before British colonialism. Alaafin Adeyemi I's father, and Adeyemi III's great-grandfather was Oba Atiba Atobatele, who founded New Oyo.[3] Atiba's father, his great-great grandfather, was Alaafin Abiodun,[4] and is a direct descendant of Oranmiyan, the founder of the Oyo Empire.

Lamidi's father, the Alaafin of Oyo Oba Adeyemi II Adeniran, was deposed and exiled in 1954 for sympathizing with the National Council of Nigerian Citizens (NCNC). He had come into conflict with Bode Thomas, deputy leader of the Action Group.[5]

According to rumors, Bode Thomas shouted at him for not standing to greet him as the chairman of NCNC during a political gathering at a party. Oba Adeyemi II Adeniran, insulted, stood and then told Bode Thomas to go home and bark like a dog. Later, he started coughing blood and died while walking back home leaving his entourage. Shortly, Herbert Macaulay heard of the catastrophe, and along with Obafemi Awolowo accused Oba Adeyemi II of poisoning Thomas, and then exiled him from his kingdom. He lived out the rest of his days in Lagos where his subjects still visited him until his death in the early 1960s.

Coronation

Lamidi Adeyemi succeeded Alaafin Gbadegesin Ladigbolu II in 1970, during the governorship of Colonel Robert Adeyinka Adebayo, after the end of the Nigerian Civil War. In 1975, the head of state General Murtala Ramat Muhammed included Oba Adeyemi in his entourage to the hajj. He was chancellor of Uthman dan Fodiyo University in Sokoto from 1980 to 1992. In 1990, President Ibrahim Babangida appointed him Amir-ul-Hajj in recognition of his commitment to the consolidation of Islam in Nigeria.[5]

Political attachment

On 3 May 2011, the outgoing Oyo State Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala announced that the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III was no longer Permanent Chairman of the Council of Obas and Chiefs in Oyo State. The state government had just passed a law that introduced rotation of the office of Chairman between the Alaafin and his two rivals, the Olubadan of Ibadanland and the Soun of Ogbomoso. It was said that the measure, introduced by the state assembly with the People's Democratic Party (PDP) majority, was in response to the Oba's support for the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) during the April 2011 elections. The ACN beat the PDP decisively in that election.[6]

Talking in September 1984 he said: "Traditional rulers should be seen as the perfect embodiment of the culture of the place, as well as the synthesis of the aspirations and goals of the nation. This is not only in social values of veracity, egalitarianism, justice and democracy; but in dress, utterances and comportment; even the mere necessary trivialities that mark Nigeria and the locality as a distinctive entity".[7]

Personal life

He was married to Ayaba Abibat Adeyemi, his senior wife. He attended most events with her or with one of the twelve junior wives that he's also married to.

His other wives were Ayaba Rahmat Adedayo Adeyemi, Ayaba Mujidat Adeyemi, Ayaba Rukayat Adeyemi, Ayaba Folashade Adeyemi, Ayaba Badirat Ajoke Adeyemi, Ayaba Memunat Omowunmi Adeyemi, Ayaba Omobolanle Adeyemi, Ayaba Moji Adeyemi, Ayaba Anuoluwapo Adeyemi, and Ayaba Damilola Adeyemi.

He was a lover of boxing, as he was a boxer before ascending the throne of his Fathers.[9]

Death

The Alaafin died on April 22, 2022 at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti in Ekiti State, at the age of 83, after reports of a brief illness.[10] [11]His reign of 52 years is the longest reign of any Alaafin of Oyo in history.[12] [10]His death was announced on several major Nigerian news networks on the morning of the next day, where his remains had already been returned to Oyo. His death was the third of a senior monarch in Oyo State within 5 months.[13][14]

Just In: 53-year Old Oyebola Emerges New Aseyin of Iseyin

According to the report emerging from Aseyin Chieftaincy selection process, Prince Olawale Semiu Oyebola has reportedly emerged the preferred candidate of the Iseyin kingmakers for the throne of Aseyin Of Iseyin land

The report indicated that the ten kingmakers arrived the palace at ten o’clock on Tuesday morning after security men had cordoned off the place to forestall any break in law and order.

Prince Oyebola would be the 30th Aseyin when being crowned, after the demise of late Dr. Abdganiy Salawudeen Adekunle Oloogunebi Ajinese 1.

He works and resides in the United States of America with his family and has always shown interest in the welfare of the community, which prompted his education foundation, under which indigent students of tertiary institutions access scholarship funding.

MAKINDE: SECURING OYO FOR ECONOMIC PROSPERITY By Sulaimon Olanrewaju

“Armed robbery appears to be on a good decline with about 45/50% decline,” Oyo State Police Command had said in a 2021 letter to Oyo State governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde . The letter stated further that “Oyo State actually recorded lower armed robbery cases in 2020, compared to what it was in 2019. The statistics in 2019 showed a total number of 182 while 123 was recorded in 2020.”

Corroborating the position of the police, the Oyo State Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Adaralewa Michael, also in 2021, noted that there had been a slide in criminality in the state.

He said, “The last time I checked the index, it has been different from what I met on the ground, so generally Oyo State has been experiencing a relative peace.”

Similarly, the Committee of Retired Inspectors General of Police, during a retreat held at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan last week, said that one of the reasons it opted to hold its programme in Ibadan was the peaceful atmosphere that pervades the state.

So, despite the rising wave of crimes and violence in the country, Oyo State has, over the years, transmogrified from the hotbed of violence and criminality to the habitation of peace and security. Although the state is not completely crime-free, it has witnessed so much improvement in the area of security that it is much safer than it used to be. But the journey to this transformed state did not happen overnight, it is the outcome of a persistent and consistent commitment of Governor Seyi Makinde who has invested immense mental energy, funds and time to ensure the reduction of criminality to the bare minimum in the state for the benefit of the citizens, residents and travelers.

How did Governor Makinde achieve an almost 180 degrees turnaround in the security situation in the state? How has Makinde been able to change Oyo State from a place where farmers could not go to their farms for fear of being kidnapped to a state where farmers now smile to the banks after their hefty harvests? How did Makinde shift the attention of bank robbers away from the state? How did Makinde change Oyo from a state where gang war was rampant to a state where this has become few and far between?

Seven major factors are responsible for the improvement the state has witnessed in the area of security.

The first is that Governor Makinde understands that his primary responsibility is to ensure safety of lives and property in the state in accordance with Section 14(2) (b) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended). He knows that as the Chief Security Officer of the state he has to be atop of the security situation in the state. To this end, the governor set up a Security Task Force headed by him with key functionaries of the state government and heads of critical security units as members. The body meets regularly to assess the security situation in the state and moves swiftly to arrest any untoward situation in any part of the state. With this in place, the governor has up-to-date security information from all parts of the state and is able to nip any untoward situation in the bud.

Then the governor collaborates with security agencies. Right from the commencement of his administration, Governor Seyi Makinde has never hidden his readiness to collaborate with security agencies to ensure a safer Oyo State. The collaboration resulted in the establishment of the Police Mobile Force 72 Squadron in Ago Are, Atisbo Local Government area of the state. The Squadron has been vital to the peaceful atmosphere that exists in Oke Ogun zone of the state.

The governor’s collaboration with security agencies also culminated in the donation of a 58-hectare of land in Ajia by the state government to the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) to establish a permanent NAF Base. The project, which is under construction, would enhance NAF’s readiness and responsiveness to security challenges in the state when completed. The base is also expected to serve as an alternate airfield to Lagos airfield, thus enabling the NAF to launch seamless and efficient air operations in the Southwest Region of Nigeria.

In addition to these, Governor Makinde, shortly after his assumption of office in 2019, donated 100 patrol vehicles to security agencies in the state to ensure that all parts of the state were adequately monitored. Since then, more patrol vehicles have been donated by the state government to the security agencies. Consequently, security operatives are able to effectively patrol the state. The state government also announced penultimate week that another set of 105 vehicles would be donated to security agencies in the state to enhance their operations. Allied to this is the resuscitation of the Police Swift Response Squad (SRS) and reinvigoration of Operation Burst to strengthen the state’s security architecture.

Following the decision of South West governors to set up the Western Nigeria Security Network, codenamed Amotekun, Governor Makinde immediately set the machinery in motion to establish the network in the state. The Amotekun officers and men are well trained, well equipped, well remunerated and well motivated. Hence, they have played a critical role in securing the state.

Governor Makinde, while inaugurating the body’s new board recently, poured encomium on the security outfit, saying, “The Amotekun policing meant that they are often the first necessity of defence for our rural communities. If we go through Amotekun’s accomplishments under Omituntun 1.0, we will see that they are a strong reason why our farmers in rural communities are able to return to their farms without fear of attack. They recorded huge successes in stopping kidnappings, motor-bike snatching, burglaries, illegal mining and fraud. We have a record of 10 kidnapping rescues that were carried out by the Amotekun Corps between June 2021 and May 2022.”

Another factor engendering security in Oyo State is the Light-Up project. The project, which covers well over 250 kilometers across the state, keeps the streets aglow even at night. This has become a source of deterrence to criminally-minded people who can no longer hide under the cover of darkness to give vent to their evil intentions.

The governor has also democratised security by enlisting the support and cooperation of traditional rulers to get intelligence that could be used to fight all forms of criminality. Governor Makinde also encouraged traditional rulers to take the message of placing premium on securing the state to their communities. This has heightened the consciousness of the citizens who readily avail security agencies of intelligence about those perpetrating crimes in their communities. The governor also mandated local government chairmen to hold regular security meetings so as to be abreast of security challenges in their area with a view to addressing same without any delay.

The governor also deployed technology to enhance security in the state. There is a toll free number that residents can call in time of distress. The facilities at the Security Control Room and the City Watch have been scaled up to enable security operatives monitor activities across the capital city, while there are CCTV cameras in strategic places, especially in the capital city.

Governor Makinde knows that as important as security is, it is not an end in itself; it is a means to an end. The purpose of providing security is to emplace a conducive environment for businesses to thrive. That has been the experience in Oyo State. The state’s huge investment in security has not only enabled the citizens to sleep with their two eyes closed, it has also boosted the state’s economy.

Over the past four years, the number of enterprises within the state has grown to 1,872,941 with the bulk of them in the capital city. This is one of the reasons a United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) research ranked Ibadan as the second fastest growing city in Africa, citing industrialisation, urbanisation and economic activities as reasons for the growth.

The state has also attracted private investments of over N27 billion in agribusiness as well as $65million foreign direct investment. Similarly, the state’s internally generated revenue (IGR) hovers around N4billion monthly while the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has grown by 50 per cent in four years.

As good as all these are, they are not the ultimate for Governor Seyi Makinde  whose dream is to turn the state, starting from the capital city, into a 24-hour economy to create more employment opportunities, optimise resource utilisation and provide higher quality of life for the people of the state.

DIKKO INSPECTS SAfER BUSES' LOADING POINTS, TERMINALS. PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO PMS.

The Chairman and Sole Administrator of the Oyo State PaceSetters Transport Services, Hon. (Dr). Dikko Salami, on Monday, 28th August, took to the streets to inspect the loading points of the Omituntun SAfER buses, for assessment and evaluation of the operations of the initiative in its first week.

Visiting each of these loading points and the terminals, Hon. Dikko also met with the leaders of the Park Management System in each of the locations to ensure unity between them and the operatives of the Pacesetter Transport Services(Omituntun buses), and measures were proposed to encourage and ensure a cordial relationship between the operational members of both sides; stating that both the initiative and the PMS are equally viable fruits of the Engr. Seyi Makinde administration, borne out of sustainability and economic stability.

During the inspection, the Chairman also met with some DPOs along the SAfER buses' routes, who noted that some Omituntun bus drivers have been cooperating and working hand in hand with the Police Force to ensure smooth operation especially at the designated loading points. It was however noted that some bus drivers still need to be orientated to improve the operation.

Rounding off the inspection, the Chairman, Pacesetter Transport Services paid a visit to the Chairman, Park Management System, Alhaji Tomiwa Omolewa(TOMMY) at his New Garage office, where crucial matters noted during inspection were treated, and sustainable measures were proposed for adoption to ensure mutual and complementary services rather than rivalry and unhealthy competition.

While Hon. Dikko pointed that the subsidized transport service was timely important to cushion the effect of the economic difficulties in the Country, and that the PTS and PMS are both branches of the same tree, Tommy promised to support the initiative and ensure that whatever differences might arise will always be sorted amicably, and sustainable measures to ensure the cordiality will always be welcomed.

Oyo 2024: Olatunji Receives Rousing Welcome Amidst Wild Jubilation In Oluyole

The Chairmanship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oluyole local government, Akeem Olatunji received a rousey welcome by party faithful at the first party meeting at the Local Government.

The Chairman of PDP in Oluyole, Alhaji Mukaila Adegbola, in his welcome address at the meeting held at the Idi-ayunre party Secretariat described Olatunji as an ‘Omoluabi’ who has continued to make Oluyole proud at the state level.

While rallying more support for Olatunji ahead of the coming 2024 local government election, Alhaji Adegbola urged Olatunji not to change from his ways and style of politics which endeared him to most of the party leaders, elders and stakeholders in Oluyole.

He noted that the rousey welcome given to Olatunji was a message indicating love and unity of purpose stressing the need for sustained party cohesion and protection of Governor Makinde’s legacy of good governance particularly in the local government.

While expressing appreciation to the party, Olatunji said his candidature was a product of the support he has continued to enjoy from leaders, elders and critical stakeholders of the party in Oluyole.

Olatunji particularly thanked Governor Makinde’s ally, Otunba Seye Famojuro for his leadership and guidance while describing him as a strong pillar in Oyo state political landscape who has committed himself to lifting up less privileged politicians with nobody to advocate for them.

“I must stress at this point that my deepest appreciation will always go to one of the strongest political pillars in Oyo state today as far as PDP is concerned; Otunba Seye Famojuro. He’s an advocate for the voiceless and has continued to fight for what is right and just.

“As an ardent disciple of Governor Seyi Makinde, I’m his political son and his my political father and leader so, when we his political children all came to make request from him as our father, I had Otunba Seye Famojuro advocating my case and my request become a reality.

“This is entirely a political family affair and my emergence as the Chairmanship candidate of our great party is to align with the vision of our political father and leader in line with his core cardinal pillars upon which his government was built to further bring development to our people at the grassroots.

“Bearing this in mind, I want to say that internal politics is over in the meantime, we must unite ourselves and be more formidable ahead of the coming election next year and I assure you that our people will be empowered to have that needed sense of belonging in the scheme of things.” Olatunji said.

Olatunji was accompanied to the meeting by his wife, Mrs Balikis Olatunji, Secretary of Oluyole LG, Hon Azeez Babalola, and 18 of the Local Government's Leaders in Oluyole among others.

Olubadan Suspends Mogaji, Asks Him To Apologize To Ibadanland

The big hammer of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Sen. Lekan Balogun, CFR, Alli Okunmade II on Friday fell on one of his Mogajis, Chief Olawale Oladoja, Mogaji Akinsola as he was suspended as Mogaji following his dastard activities in the Akinsola Village in Akinyele Local Government area of Oyo State.

The community came into limelight on Thursday following the clamping down on the residents of the community by the Mogaji Akinsola claiming that he had gotten court judgments to prove that the land upon which they built their houses was not legally sold to them.

It would be recalled that about 200 houses in the community under reference were on Wednesday put under lock and key and red- marked which he said was to prove his being in charge. The action threw the residents out of their houses, leading some of them to sleep in the open throughout the night following which they protested to the Olubadan Palace on Thursday.

Mogaji and other actions were taken.

Briefing the press after the meeting, the Personal Assistant (Media) to Olubadan, Oladele Ogunsola disclosed that three communities, Akinsola, Aponmode and Labinkulu were actually affected by the action with the other two communities as represented by Baale Aponmode, Dauda Bolarinwa Aponmode and Morufu Raufu relaying how they were recruited by Mogaji Akinsola to join him in reclaiming the land from the landlords and how they turned him down.

In his presentation, Mogaji Akinsola told the monarch and his members of Advisory Council that he made several attempts to resolve the matter before he decided to take action. He disclosed that the matter was also reported to the palace and moves were being made to intervene but didn’t wait for the conclusion of the palace intervention before he approached the security agents for the execution of the court judgment that gave his family the right of ownership of the disputed land.

The Ashipa Olubadan, Oba Biodun Kola-Daisi who read the riot act on behalf of the Olubadan Advisory Council said “several facts were established here today and they pointed to the fact that Mogaji Akinsola didn’t follow the code if conduct usually handed down to both Mogajis and Baales when being appointed.

“In this instance, the case was already in the Palace, but, did you inform the palace before the police was invited? Your action inconvenient, embarrassed the Olubadan stool and the Ibadanland. You crossed the line and the Council has decided that you be suspended as Mogaji, you are ordered to tender public apology to the people inconvenienced.

“You defied Olubadan, took laws into your hands by going ahead to take such drastic decision. This will serve as deterrents to others who fail to appreciate and recognize the responsibility their position as either Baale or Mogaji entails. Your suspension will last for as long as it takes to resolve the problem you have created”, Ashipa Olubadan added.

Tinubu May Reintroduce Subsidy For Petrol As Nigerians Groan Under Harsh Economy •’Proposal On His Table’ – Source

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is planning a policy reversal in the downstream sector of the oil industry as his government considers reintroduction of subsidy for premium motor Spirit also called petrol, to cushion the effects of economic hardship in the country.

According to TheCable, impeccable presidency sources said there is yet no final decision, but the proposal is “firmly on the table” as Nigerians continue to groan under harsh economic realities following the removal of petrol subsidy in May 2023.

Already, labour unions have threatened to embark on an indefinite strike if the petrol price further surges.

According to a presidency official, the “realistic” amount of petrol consumed in the country is now known following the removal of subsidy on Tinubu’s inauguration, hence the amount spent on subsidy “can now be controlled”.

On Monday, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited said there are no plans to hike pump prices despite the rise in crude oil prices, landing cost, and fall in the value of the naira.

This is understood to be an option for Tinubu to keep the current prices, although private importers have not made a definite pronouncement on any possible adjustments.

But speculations around another increase in the pump price of petrol (currently at over N600) have caused tensions across the country, leading to panic buying in the early hours of Tuesday.

Since Tinubu announced the removal of the petrol subsidy, Nigerians have had no respite from price hikes.

Foreign exchange challenges, coupled with the unrestrained slump of the naira — Nigeria’s local currency — have led to a sustained upward trend, in the prices of goods and services.

On Monday, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) said it plans to implement new measures to stabilise the naira against the dollar.

Weeks after Tinubu was inaugurated as Nigeria’s elected president, his administration — already fraught with legitimacy issues — quickly introduced several policies in a bid to revive the economy.

But with the current economic realities, it appears that these policies are not yet yielding the expected results.

While welcoming members of the Committee to the inauguration ceremony, the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Youths and Sports, Mrs Bukola Oladipo, stated that the Civil Service Games which was originally billed to take off in 2017 is meant to come up annually among workers in the Oyo State Civil Service.

The competition, according to her, is intended to create an atmosphere of socio-interaction and enhance cordiality among the workforce for better efficiency at work. It is also envisaged to be an avenue to re-energize the body and prepare the workforce for the task ahead.

She stated that the sports and games that have been listed for participation at the Civil Service Games include:

Mental Games such as

Ayo Olopon, Draught, Scrabble, Chess and Ludo

Physical Games such as

Football, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Tennis and Badminton

The representative of the Governor at the Ceremony, the Executive Assistant to the Governor (Administration) Rev. Idowu Ogedengbe, while giving his inaugural speech stated that the Committee has the following terms of reference:

(i) Plan and determine commencement and conclusion of the competition;

(ii) Give the competition a wide publicity in order to ensure participation of all civil servants;

(iii) Source for additional fund to augment the state government’s provision.

He commended the Administration of His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde as not being oblivious of the need to forge a generally conducive atmosphere in which all civil servants across the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in Oyo State can come together to socialize and interact thereby enhancing greater bonding, cordial relationship, enhanced unity and improved commitment to a common sense of purpose among the workforce.

He stated further “This is critically important for better efficiency and increased productivity at work. His Excellency firmly believes that incorporating games and other forms of sporting activities into the work environment makes work feel more exciting, fun and not a burdensome chore. The contribution therefore that a sport competition can bring to the productivity of the workforce through the participation of workers in one form of sports or the other cannot be overemphasized. The health benefits associated with the participation of civil servants in sporting activities at this competition will go a long way in boosting the morale of the workforce within the State public service.”

He observed that the Committee for the Civil Service Games is being inaugurated at a time that coincides with the implementation of the SAfER intervention programme under Omituntun 2.0 Roadmap for Sustainable Development (2023-2027), which is designed for the good of the people of Oyo State. This demonstrates the commitment of the Administration of Governor Seyi Makinde to both the public service workforce and the general masses in Oyo State.

He encouraged members of the Committee to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the process of planning and organizing the Civil Service Games in order to justify the confidence the government has reposed in them.

Fuel Subsidy Palliatives: Gov Makinde and His Effulgent Pragmatic Action, A leaf to be taken from his book by IJOBA AUTHORITY MOE

Beyond rhetorics and expectations, many people taught Governor Makinde will lose the 2019 elections but quite unfortunate for them, the forgotten stone became the cornerstone hence the victory on March 9, 2019

Surprisingly, for everyone to know that God's time is the ultimate and he alone can install a King and uninstall as well being the supreme kingmaker, there were showers of Heavy Downpour as a sign that truly it is Fresh Waters ( OMITUNTUN ) and to proof the political juggernauts, vilified politicians wrong that this is God at work for  Engr. Seyi Makinde (ESM) then.

Many that believes in his personality who is a successful business tycoon in the private sector were not part of the doubting Thomases like others did. The few that were convinced about his leadership capacity, fell in love to work with him upon his swearing-in on May 29, 2019.

As they say, "Without a fall one does not know how to pack his/her loads". It became pertinent for people like me whose belief and trust in ESM can't be poisoned by any unscrupulous elements hence my absolute dedication, loyalty, support, and commitment towards his success in the course of the four years mandate.

However, he set the pace 2019-2023 administration on four pillars namely Health, Security, Education, and Expansion of Economy through Agribusiness to be based on three models as indicators and parameters: Logic, Data, and Science to measure the effects and effectiveness on those pillars listed.

These and other wisdom apparatus gave him a success storyline on OMITUNTUN 1.0 tagged Accelerated Development Goal 2019-2023. I must let you know this, he laid some futuristic painful foundation that could in the long term be gainful to all.

Before I submit, we are now in OMITUNTUN 2.0 tagged Sustainable Development Goal for Growth, and taking our people from Poverty to Prosperity. In the early days of this month, August 2023, a one-week strike came up by the NLC, TUC, and other labour force, state civil servants in Oyo State on the fuel Subsidy palava, hike in the price of the commodity, two months owed salary deductions telling on their expenses.

On this bases, Mr. Governor came out on Sunday night at about 9 pm, 06/08/2023 to make a state-wide broadcast in response to workers' agitation so as to address and arrest the situation promptly. He gave some clear declarations on provisions for Youths for Agropreneurs (YEAP 500M), SMEs (500M), Poorest of the poor individual (200,000) for food relief packages as palliatives, Pensioners to get free Health Insurance through OYHISA (100,000) and Farmers inputs support to 10,000 individual, while on transportation as a major area of moving from one location to another through the office of the PTS Chairman and Sole Administrator, Hon. Dr. Ibraheem Oladeji Salami to provide subsidized rates for Aged, Students and Expansion of intracity omituntun mass transit to other five geopolitical zones while interstate is in the pipeline.

Speaking further, he declared that all mentioned pillars shall be treated under the SAfER Programme ( Sustainable Action for Economic Recovery) hence the 15-man committee set up to make it a reality.

He also assured them of complete payment of their two months' salary deductions owed to be paid alongside their salary on the same GSM date as well added more Omituntun Mass Transit to the existing to cover others.

Today, show me a Governor in Nigeria that has taken such bold, pragmatic, and effulgent steps like the Man Called MAKINSSON The Ilufemiloye1 Aare Atunluse Aare Orile Igbon Kingdom The Idan Gangan the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr Dsc GSSRS KJW Abiodun Oluseyi (Saheed) Makinde FNSE  has done unlike others giving out 5,000 and 10,000 as well reducing the number of days to come for work hence affecting their economic growth and recovery.
