HISTORY-MAKING GOVERNOR: REDEFINING PTS, A MAJOR FOCUS AND RELIEF IS ON THE WAY FOR BETTER TRANSPORTATION SERVICES || IJOBA AUTHORITY MOE

It is a new dawn in Oyo State as our history-making Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde FNSE  fixed the right person into the Oyo State transportation system. The appointment of Hon. (Dr) Salami Dikko whose capacity is second to none is worthy and merits the office.

Since the time of the military regime, no one has occupied the sole administrator regalia until this time. Hon. Dikko is the first to hold the two positions as Chairman and Sole Administrator to Oyo State PaceSetters Transport Services(PTS). He is a successful business mogul, a fantastic administrator, highly exposed, and a refined professional of note whose leadership is trusted.

Meanwhile,  as those Bus Terminals are about to be completed, the two remaining metropolitan edifices at Iwo Road, be rest assured that it will contribute enormously to the economic growth, and seamless transport services deliver under an enabling environment through infrastructural development. We must also remember that the Omituntun Mass Transit (OMT) has come into the limelight with 56-seater mass transit buses and many more are about to be unveiled under the new leadership that will cover some routes to be listed in coming weeks.

Kudos to our amiable, indefatigable Governor for this as it will make life easier for the masses and enhance smooth transportation. An assurance has been made to the good people during the weekly newsletter by The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde.

For the avoidance of doubt, I am not surprised and afraid of his nomination and appointment as the Chairman and sole administrator of Pacesetter Transport Services of Oyo State, the first of its kind. Gov. Makinde, the Man Called MAKINSSON (GSM) is a Visionary leader that is aiming well for the state and giving the state a good future ahead with the diversities of projects he is embarking upon to make Oyo State the home and headquarters of the economic hub in South West Nigeria and in the global community.

Remember, a few days ago, Gov MAKINDE made known his intention to bring relief to the good people of Oyo State in his newsletter.

It reads thus: "We have heard our people’s call for palliatives due to the prevailing economic situation in the country. We have already taken some measures in terms of expanding the routes of our Omituntun Bus service and ensuring that transport costs are not increased. But we know there is more to be done, and in the coming weeks, we will be rolling out more sustainable actions for the benefit of our people". ~ Seyi Makinde

To experience more promotion and services of these good things at the PTS, we all need to come together to support and cooperate with the new chairman, Hon. Dr. Salami Oladeji Ibraheem Dikko for a better discharge of duties and great tasks as committed to his hands by His Excellency, Engr. Dsc. GSSRS KJW Abiodun Seyi Makinde, FNSE.

By so doing, I am using the medium to call on public and private capacity, investors, business moguls, and reputable and value system-oriented organizations to find their way to partner with the chairman to add more good value to this State.

Let's make haste in collaborating with his office for sustainable development goals in this administration of OMITUNTUN 2.0.

Let's make the continuity of GSM our priority and ensure mutual understanding with Mr Chairman, Hon. Dikko.

Arapaja's Rumoured Governorship Ambition Aimed At Causing Disaffection Between Him & Gov.Makinde - Group.

A group within the People's Democratic Party in Oyo State "National Equity Group" has described a story published by an online medium, theexclusivepress.net that Deputy National Chairman (South) of the party, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja is nursing ambition to succeed Governor Seyi Makinde in 2027 as an attempt to cause disaffection between the governor and Ambassador Arapaja.

The group in a statement issued by its National Secretary, Samson Fredrick said it initially chosen to disregard the said report because it saw the need not to trade words with those who don’t believe in the modest achievements of the governor makinde led administration, noted that reacting to it however, became necessary in order to set the record straight and to put those behind the purveyor of the said fake news to shame.

In the malicious report published by the said online medium with the caption “Arapaja moves to succeed Makinde in 2027, Begins consultations” Arapaja was alleged to have begun move to take over from Makinde in 2027, a report which is nothing but a blatant lie.

According to the group, "we want to state that we are highly disappointed in the said unfounded, baseless and frivolous report and wondered why some people could descend so low to the extent of cooking up such baseless, malicious and frivolous story all in the name of politics.

His Excellency, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja that we know is somebody who have absolute belief that God Almighty alone  gives power to whom He will and dethrone whoever He will without being questioned by anybody.

The said report was the handiwork of some political jobbers who are trying to cause disaffection between the Governor and Ambassador Arapaja because there was never a time he has ever made any move to join the far away 2027 gubernatorial race not to talk of discussing such with anybody whether before or after the 2023 general elections to the best of our knowledge.

His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde is the Governor of Oyo state and he is doing wonderfully well. And it will be a disservice for anybody that is loyal to him trying to indicate interest in the 2027 gubernatorial in Oyo State which is very very far by now. Such a person could be described as an enemy of the State who does not want the state to progress knowing fully well that the move will definitely cause distraction for our amiable and performing governor.

The main motive of the publication and its sponsor is to cause rift and disaffection between the Governor and Ambassador Arapaja because they know that Ambassador Arapaja's loyalty to Governor Makinde is one hundred per cent and Gov. Makinde equally have very high regards for him.

On the allegation that Ambassador Arapaja used the opportunity of the assignment that His Excellency gave him to oversee the selection of chairmanship and councillor candidates within Ibadan city to favour some candidates allegedly loyal to him, this is also another weighty allegations that they have failed to substantiate because they ought to have mentioned the names or local government where such favour happened. The selection of candidates was purely on merit. All the leaders and stakeholders were carried along in each of the local governments and that was why there was tremendous success in the choice of all the candidates during the primaries.

Gov. Seyi Makinde is doing wonderfully well to the extent that even if the constitution had permitted for a third term,  he would have gotten the support of all the people in the State for a third term in office. This is because in the history of governance in Oyo State we have never had it so good like this.

He has raised the bar of governance to the extent that Oyo State has become a model for other states to emulate. He has brought a lot of innovations to the governance from education, agriculture, health care, workers welfare, infrastructure,  and many other things that cannot be seen on the pages of newspapers.

Therefore, this reaction is necessary to set the record straight and to warn the media practitioners especially the bloggers to stop being used as agent of destabilisation and to shame the faceless political jobbers that sponsored the publication of fake story. We believe that God shall continue to expose the wolves on sheep’s clothing that have constituted themselves as enemies of progress in Oyo State.`` The statement concluded.

The beneficiaries of Governor Seyi Makinde’s generosity and goodwill are Comrade Ademola Babalola who happen to be the current Chairman of Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ) , Oyo State Chapter and Mr Dare Adekanbi of The Nigerian Tribune Newspaper.

You will be recall that the Governor had presented a Toyota Jeep to ace broadcast Journalist, Mayor Isaac Brown few months ago

The Two jeeps were presented to Demola and Dare by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sulaimon Olanrewaju on Thursday (today) at the Government House, Agodi Ibadan.

” He had done very many wonderful things for the NUJ even before he became the Governor.

“He has always been a Philanthropist of note. He has continued to play very many supportive roles in my life before and after my election as NUJ Chairman. While leaving the meeting, he promised to buy SUV Cars as gifts for our contributions to nation building and more importantly, to ease our tasks as stakeholders in the Project Oyo State.

Oil Marketers Demand Increase in Petrol Prices as Ghana, Benin, Togo, Others Sell N1,000/litre

  •  Petroleum marketers in Nigeria are pushing for further upward review in prices
  • They say the current price of petrol does not allow them to make a profit considering current realities
  • Tunji Onyebanji, a former Chairman of Major Oil Marketers of Nigeria (MOMAN), said the product is sold higher in neighbouring countries.

Oil marketers insist that the current petrol prices in Nigeria do not reflect the market realities, saying that a further price review will make them break even. The development comes after petrol prices were increased twice in two months from N189/liter to N500/liter and, recently, from N537 per litre to N617/ litre across Nigeria.

Petrol sells higher in neighbouring countries

Punch reports that the former Chairman of the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria and CEO of 11 Plc, Tunji Oyebanji, said the review will reflect current market realities. Oyebanji said that neighbouring countries sell products close to or above N1,000 per litre.

He said:

“If the prices in neighbouring countries reflect true market prices and our own do not, there is still a danger. We won't know the exact situation until we all import at the new exchange rate, know the price, and compare it with our neighbours. Likely, the differential will not be so much.”

Marketers project new petrol prices for July

An investigation shows that while Nigeria sells petrol at N617 per litre, the product sells around N1,169 in Mali, N986 in Ivory Coast, Cameroon at N986, Ghana at N984, Togo N945, and Benin Republic N877 per litre, respectively.

The National Controller of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) stated that petrol prices could rise from N600 to N700 per litre in July.

He added that competition was healthy for the industry and allowed a level-playing field for market operators.

Legit.ng reported that the products sells as high as N1,100 in countries like Mali and Togo.

Recent reports say that black market fuel vendors and commercial drivers in Cameroon, Benin, and Togo have seen the collapse of their businesses due to low supplies and high prices as Nigeria removed subsidies from petrol.

Marketers alert Nigerians on new petrol prices for North, South regions as Private Companies Begin Importation

Legit.ng reported that Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has announced that Nigerians should expect the pump price of petrol to rise above N700 per litre, particularly in the Northern region starting from July.

Mike Osatuyi, the National Controller of IPMAN, who disclosed this, also asked residents of Lagos to expect petrol prices of around N610 per litre.

According to a report by Punch, the new prices will come into effect when independent marketers begin importing petroleum products.

NPF sets to investigate Cute Abiola

RE: POLICE UNIFORM: COMEDIAN ABDULGAFAR ABIOLA, AKA "CUTE ABIOLA’S" CONTEMPTUOUS ACT IS CRIMINAL, PUNISHABLE

In as much as the law grants Nigerians the right to enjoy their fundamental human rights, the same law prohibits an individual, under whatever guise, from rubbishing the police institution or grossly violating its provisions with regards to the use of uniforms.

We, therefore, vehemently condemn the contemptuous act displayed by comedian Abdulgafar Abiola, popularly known as "Cute Abiola," in two recent skits posted on his social media handles on 20th and 24th July, 2023. The skits in question show a highly disrespectful and derogatory portrayal of the police uniform, an action that is in direct violation of Section 251 of the Criminal Code and Section 133 of the Penal Code Law. Such acts are not only offensive but also undermine the integrity and dignity of the men and women who wear the uniform in service to the nation.

Abdulgafar Abiola will be investigated and possibly prosecuted for his deliberate acts as the NPF had already warned skit makers and filmmakers to desist from desecrating its uniform or accoutrements. The Force is committed to upholding the sanctity of the uniform and will pursue due legal process to ensure accountability for any individual or entity that seeks to bring disrepute to the uniform or the institution it represents. We call on all members of the public, including media personalities, to exercise their freedom of expression responsibly and avoid engaging in actions that could erode public trust in our revered law enforcement institutions.

Omituntun 2.0: My Visit To PTS, OYSROMA And Accessment Of Makinde's Competent Aides | By Ijoba Authority MOE

Today, I took a short while to pay a courtesy visit to the duo, newly appointed chairmen into Pacesetters Transport Services and  Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency  Oysroma , Hon. (Dr)  Dikko Salami Ibraheem Oladeji and Hon. Busoye Ogunlade.

It's not yet an official visit but an impromptu visit to congratulate them on their new appointment as approved by His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Dsc GSSRS KJW Abiodun Seyi Makinde FNSE.

No doubt that both have the capacity to run the position in a seamless way as the Chairman Oystroma was reappointed due to his unprecedented track records noticed and verified when he was there during OMITUNTUN 1.0 hence propelled Mr Governor and absolutely convincing to reward him by re-engaging him to man the agency for the good people of Oyo State.

At the same time, the newly appointed chairman and sole administrator for PTS, Hon. Oladeji Ibraheem Salami whose leadership skill that was exhibited during the campaign could not be eschewed but well felt across to the youth constituency and beyond. He is such a agile, vibrating magnet putting his best to the success of his principal upon which I served as his Chairman Youth Media GSM 2023 approved by Gov. Seyi Makinde .

Without any argument, beyond rhetorics, there is reward for Patience, Hard work, Integrity, Humility and Unending Commitment towards a goal, focus and Vision to accomplish a mission. I am not surprised seeing the duo in this highly exalted office. Coincidentally, both offices is just a stone throw, both are Bossom friends and of the same very brill height.

And finally, let it be on record that Governor Makinde has made another history and record breaking appointment again by giving the chairman PTS the sole administrator Power pen which is the first of it's kind after the military era. This means that the bulk stops on his desk.

As Chairman Oystroma promised today that there will be zero potholes on our roads going forward since marching order has been given on the spot by His Excellency, say bye bye to potholes in Oyo State.

My dear Governor, the Man Called MAKINSSON, The Ilufemiloye1, Aare Atunluse Aare IDAN and Aare Orile Igbon Kingdom, it's true you rewards hard work, labour of love, productive talents and building a refined political scientist that will change the fortune of the State, the nation and world at large for a greater future ahead of us.
